Applications are invited from Indian citizens for filling up the following temporary posts by direct recruitment in the Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE) Program, SERC, Department of Science & Technology as per details given below :-

NAME OF POST : Scientist 'B'
SCALE OF PAY : Rs. 15600-39100 (Grade Pay- Rs. 5400/-)
NO. OF VACANCIES: FOUR (Two Posts for General Category and Two Posts for OBC)
(a) ESSENTIAL EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION :
Master’s Degree in Natural / Agricultural Sciences or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology / Medicine.
(b) DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION :
Specialized experience in Research and Development / Industrial / Academic Institutions and / or Science and Technology Organisations.
(c) AREA OF SPECIALISATION / EXPERIENCE :
Natural Science / Basic Sciences / Engineering Science with specialization in Information Technology / Computer Science.

NAME OF POST : Scientist 'C'
SCALE OF PAY : Rs. 15600-39100 (Grade Pay- Rs. 6600/-)
NO. OF VACANCIES: TWO – (General)
(a) ESSENTIAL EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION :
Master’s Degree in Natural / Agricultural Sciences or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology / Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent.
(b) DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION :
Doctorate Degree in Natural / Agricultural Sciences or Master’s Degree in Engineering / Technology / Medicine / Information Technology / Computer Science from a recognized University.
(c) AREA OF SPECIALISATION / EXPERIENCE :
Natural Science / Basic Sciences / Engineering Science with specialization in Information Technology / Computer Science. Experience of Four years in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions and / or Science and Technology organizations.

NAME OF POST : Scientist 'F'
SCALE OF PAY : Rs. 37400-67000 (Grade Pay- Rs. 8900/-)
NO. OF VACANCIES: TWO – (General)
(a) ESSENTIAL EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION :
Master’s Degree in Natural / Agricultural Sciences or Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Technology / Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent.
(b) DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION :
Doctorate Degree in Natural / Agricultural Sciences or Master’s Degree in Engineering / Technology / Medicine / Information Technology / Computer Science from a recognized University.
(c) AREA OF SPECIALISATION / EXPERIENCE :
Natural Science / Basic Science / Engineering Science with specialization in Information Technology / Computer Science.

HOW TO APPLY :
Applications should be neatly typed on thick plain paper (A-4 size 210 x 297 mm) in the prescribed format given below:-
(a) A self-addressed post-card with requisite stamp should be sent along with the completed application. Candidates should indicate in this card the Advertisement number and name of the post applied for. The applications will be acknowledged by the Department by returning this card to the candidates after indicating the Registration number allotted to them. Candidates may note that no separate acknowledgement other than this card will be sent to them.

b) Completed applications should be sent to Under Secretary (Rectt.), Department of Science and Technology, Technology Bhavan, New Mehrauli Road, New Delhi – 110016, by Registered Post in a cover superscribed “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF SCIENTIST ‘F’ or SCIENTIST ‘C’ or SCIENTIST 'B'”(SEPARATE FORMS MUST BE FILLED FOR DIFFERENT POSTS) within 30 days (24.11.2009) ( 45 days for those in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Ladakh Division of Jammu and Kashmir State, Lahaul and Spiti District and Pangi Sub Division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep) from the date of publication of this advertisement.
