The National Institute of Oceanography (NIO), a constituent laboratory laboratory of the CSIR conducts research, condusts basic and applied research on various aspects of ocean science. NIO invites applications from Indian Nationals for placement in the following scientific and technical positions .

1. Senior Scientist : 02 posts, Pay Scale : Rs.15600-39100   Grade Pay Rs.7600, Age : 37 years
2. Scientist : 05 posts, Pay Scale : Rs.15600-39100   Grade Pay Rs.6600, Age : 32 years
3. Scientist : 13 posts, Pay Scale : Rs.15600-39100   Grade Pay Rs.6600, Age : 32 years 
4. Junior Engineer Group III Grade (1) : 01 post Electrical Maintenance, Pay Scale : Rs. 9300 - 34800 Grade Pay Rs. 4200, Age : 28 years 
5. Technical Assistant Group III Grade (1) : 08 posts in various disciplines, Pay Scale : Rs. 9300 - 34800 Grade Pay Rs. 4200, Age : 28 years  
6. Senior Technical Officer - 1 Group III Grade (4) : 02 posts in Library Science/ Instrumentation, Pay Scale : Rs. 15600 - 39100 Grade Pay Rs. 5400, Age : 35 years  

Fee : Rs.100/- in the form of DD in favour of Director, NIO payable at Goa drawn on SBI dona Paula Branch (no fee from SC/ST/PH candidates)

How to Apply : Apply Online at NIO website on or before 09/09/2013. Print out of online application duly signed and supported by attested copies of certificates and application fee should be sent in a sealed cover superscribed with "Application for the post of _______)" to The Controller of Administration, National Institute of Oceanography, Dona Paula, Goa - 403004, India, so as to reach on or before 16/09/2013.
