Latest News: According to ICICI Bank, the probationary officers recruitment drive for November 2010 & February 2011 Batch.The application process is expected to begin in June – July 2010, while the selection for ICICI Bank PO programme 2010 batches concluded recently.

Selection: The PO Programme is an initiative by ICICI Bank, where graduates are selected & trained to enable them pursue a career in the banking industry.Candidates are selected through a common aptitude test followed by Group Discussion/ Interview – both conducted by ICICI Bank.

Allahabad Bank 880 PO Exam 2010 - Results

Allahabad Bank has posted the results for Probationary Officer recruitment – 2010 on their website.The recruitment was to fill 880 PO vacancies & was advertised during the month of January 2010.

On February 21, 2010 the written examination was conducted by Allahabad bank, as part of this PO recruitment project 2010-11.According to the results, approximately 2759 candidates have been short listed for the Interview process.

Interview: The Interview for these selected candidates is scheduled between June 14 – 19, 2010. The roll numbers of the selected candidates & Interview centre along with date, time, panel have been clearly released in the list provided at the bank website here.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will hold a written Examination on 24th October 2010 for recruitment of 753 posts (BSF-284, CRPF-326, CISF-82, ITBP-6, SSB-55) of Assistant Commandants (Group A) in the Central Police Forces (CPF) viz BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP and SSB.
Eligibility:

  • Age : Not less than 20 years and not more than 25 years as on 1st August, 2010. The upper age is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC and certain other categories of candidates to the extent specified in the Notice.

  • Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree of any recognised university or an equivalent qualification.

  • Physical Standards: Candidates must be physically fit according to the Regulations given in notice.

  • Sex : Both male and female candidates are eligible for appointment to CRPF and CISF. However, only male candidates are eligible for appointment to BSF, ITBP and SSB.

  • Possession of NCC B or C Certificate will be a desirable qualification. The desirable qualifications will be given consideration at the time of Interview/ Personality Test only.
Selection Procedure : Selection will be based on the basis of a written examination to be conducted by the UPSC followed by Physcial Standards/ Physical Efficiency Test and Medical Standards Test to be conducted by the Miistry of Home Affairs and the Personality Test/ Interview to be condusted by UPSC.
Application Form: The candidates must apply in the Common Application Form devised by the Commission for its examinations, which can be purchased from the designated Head Post Offices/ Post offices throughout the country against cash payment of Rs. 20/- only.
Fee: Rs.100/- through Central Recruitment Fee Stamp only (Rs.50/- if applying online - should be paid in SBI or net banking of SBI or by Visa/Master/ Debit Card). SC/ST/Female candidates are exempted from payment (OBC candidates required to pay full fee).

Preparing for Bank Clerk Exam - Explained

We receive numerous mails asking for Tips on preparing for clerical exams, as part of the bank recruitment 2010.So,we decided to brief to all aspiring candidates, about the pattern of clerk exams conducted by most banks in India,

Eligibility : To become eligible for applying to clerical post,

(a) Degree from a recognized University in any discipline or its equivalent. OR
(b) Pass with 50% marks in aggregate in Higher Secondary Exam of 10+2+3 pattern/ XI standard of 11+3 pattern/ Pre-degree or intermediate or any equivalent exam OR
(c) Pass with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in Matriculation/Senior School
certificate (Old pattern)/ or equivalent.

These eligibility conditions may change according to the requirements of each bank

Written test : The written exam for clerical position will have the following sections,

ICICI Bank PO Recruitment – Results for August 2010
